With the support of Pistachos del Sol, ETRURIO has created in 2017 the first experimental crop of pistacchio plants in Tuscany to identify which variety fits best the Tuscan climate.

Tuscan Pistachios
Pistachio cultivation in Italy is mainly concentrated in Sicily with about 3832 hectares on a total area of 3841 hectares. More than 90% of pistachio production is derived from a single cultivar, the Napoletana, also known as Bianca. Thanks to ETRURIO, Tuscany is now the third Italian region for Pistachio’s groves with the highest number of varieties cultivated.
